CPR/AED and First Aid
Grand County EMS is the American Heart Association's Training Center for this region of southeastern Utah. We oversee training sites for our own department, Moab Regional Hospital, the National Park Service, and Bureau of Land Management, and all community members. Our AHA Training Center provides classes and certification for Heartsaver® CPR/AED and First Aid courses as well as HeartCode® Basic Life Support (BLS). Grand County EMS is in the process of adding the HeartCode® Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) discipline to our Training Center.

Heartsaver® CPR/AED certification can be achieved in two ways. Traditional, in-person classes are taught on a monthly basis. You can also take an online class from the American Heart Association by first going to www.elearning.heart.org to register and pay for their online course. Once you have completed the online portion you will book a Skills Test with us. First Aid is best learned in a classroom setting.

If you are interested in BLS certification, please email us at cpr@grandcountyems.net.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
