CPR and First Aid Certification

​

Grand County EMS is the American Heart Association's Training Center for this region of southeastern Utah. 

​

CPR and First Aid Class:

​

This four-hour class is taught monthly by GCEMS EMTs and Paramedics.  By the end of the class, you will have earned your two-year certification.  You may take CPR without taking first-aid.  ***Minimum # of students per class is 3 and maximum is 8.  We will let you know 48 hrs.in advance if the class will not run***

Online CPR and First Aid Class with In Person Skills Test:

​

Take the A.H.A online class you need at your own pace, then come to the GCEMS Station to pass a skills test and earn your two-year certification.  A.H.A. online classes have their own fee in addition to GCEMS testing fee.  Follow the links below to the A.H.A. online classes:

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.

Schedule a Group CPR Class

​

Groups of five or more may contact us at cpr@grandcountyemsutah.gov to inquire about scheduling a group class.  Scheduling will be based on availability of instructors.  July, August, January, and February are excellent months to get your staff CPR certified!

Other Classes and Skills Testing

​

Grand County EMS teaches a variety of other classes, including a Stop-the-Bleed course and Hands Only CPR.  We can also sign-off on BLS skills testing for medical professionals. Please email us at cpr@grandcountyemsutah.gov today if you are interested in these or any other courses or tests.

Ride-Along

​​

GCEMS offers ride-along opportunities to prospective employees as well as members of the public.  Those 17 years old or younger will need permission from a parent or guardian to ride.  

​
